Small metal red tricycle with rear standing-step: Disappeared somewhere around when I was 5 or 6. 16" yellow bicycle with plastic white wheels. Yes, plastic wheels. What I learned to ride on. I think I finally rode it to where the plastic wheels wore through somewhere around age 6 or 7. 20" Murray BMX bicycle: Had a top-pad and a bar-pad - bright green access and grips on a black frame. Replaced when I was like 12 or 13. The bike I learned to wheelie/jump on. 700C Triumph mustache-barred red/wine seven speed. This was a $35 garage-sale-buy and had a well-support rear rack. Used to use the track as a "back seat" to carry other kids around the neighborhood. Retired and became my dad's bike when I went the BMX route. 20" Royce Union black 'stunt' bicycle. Added my own SST/ORG gyro to this one - along with a step of 1" aluminum pegs on the front and 1" steel pegs on the rear. Was the beginning of getting me interested in flatlanding and trail riding. Unfortunately it was abused and my gyro never really gave me good braking feedback front or rear. My dad drilled the neck on this one to route the front brake straight down through it since the bolt had no hole by default. Was replaced by my chrome Royce Union a few years later. 20" Royce Union chrome 'stunt' bicycle. Mostly like my black one, only at this point less beat up. Chrome with candied red accents. Came with 1/2" stipled pegs front and rear and a factory detangler. Had a double-bar on the handlebars top/center bar. Got garage-saled after I got a mountain bike. 26" Mongoose XGS: Cheap wal-mart bicycle that I used to ride through the SR405/Barna trails behind the DMV. Was dark blue with yellow decals - dual suspension 21-speed with grip shifters. Eventually got rusted up and had derailleur problems from so much riding in mud/water. Stayed with my from probably ninth grade or so through my first year living in Orlando. 26" Mongoose MGS: "Frankenbike" - Bought to replace my XGS after I moved to Orlando and was riding the J. Blanchard trails all the time. Lasted me 6/7 years until spring 2011 when I re-snapped the rear derailleur cable (again) after replacing it after being rear-ended on the bike. I'd tried to upgrade many parts on this bike, but the stem size and such didn't match the other equipment. Had no stickers on it anymore - but was replaceed with a "PavementSucks" sticker which seemed appropriate on an off-road bike. Front tire/fork was spraypainted kawasaki green. Rear wheel was replaced with a really-low geared (high toothed) wheel assembly after I bent up the wheel. Had click-shifters and dual-suspension. 24" NEXT: Yellow mountain bike that was a back-up during the downtime of Frankenbike - was more reliable originally and was just a plain cheap double-suspension bike. Plastic brake levers that bent when pulled and all sorts of other crap. Bought with birthday money in like 07. Had grip-shfiters and was 18-speed 700C Schwinn Prelude: Blue/chrome road bike. Got tired of riding with fat-tires all the time on the road, and wanted something 'racier' - and with skinnier tires (remembering my old Triumph). Did the ride across Florida on this bike. It's completely stock save for the lights and a small handle-bar pouch/bag. Kent Genesis v2100: Bought after starting another trail on the Frankenbike and having the rear gears completely blow apart. After 6/7 years on the Frankenbike it was retired to parts. This is another 26" 21-speed with click-shifters.
